Departure with the Vigezzina train from Domodomossola at 08.25. Arrival in the village of Trontano around 08.45. We follow the "Nature Trail" of the Park which takes us in about 2 hours 30 to the Rifugio Parpinasca where you can find refreshment in combination with local wines. We cross abandoned terraces rich in history and invaded by the woods, chestnut and beech woods, we pass by some historical mountain pastures that tell us a lot of stories of the people who lived there: farmers and woodcutters. We depart from Parpinasca at about 13.30 and descend on the same path, arrival in Trontano about 15. In the historic vineyards of Trontano there will be a tasting of wines paired with typical local products such as rye bread or cheese from the Val d'Ossola and sausages of the Anzasca valley. Descending through vineyards on old mule tracks you return by train to Domodossola, the capital of Ossola. Estimated time of arrival 18:30 approx. Difficulty: easy, rather wide and risk-free trails requiring some physical strength, the participant should be able to make 300 meters of positive height gain in one hour. Languages: Italian-English-German (on request). Equipment: (light) mountain boots, water, sunscreen, also jacket and sweater for uncertain weather conditions.
