How to Get There

By Car

Highways:

• You can take either the A8 highway from Milan or the A26 from Genoa and Turin; in both cases, exit at Gravellona Toce.

Ordinary Roads:

• Roads reaching the Park: Ossola expressway from Gravellona Toce to Sempione Pass (if you take this road, you will enjoy the view over the mountains surrounding Val Grande, especially the imposing and inaccessible Corni di Nibbio chain); S.S. 34 from Cannobio. Other roads, including some non-asphalt roads, also lead to the departure points of several hiking itineraries in Val Grande or in the adjacent areas.

By Train:

• FS railway line from Milan or Turin and from Novara or Briga (CH) to Verbania Pallanza or Domodossola railway stations. Ferrovia delle Centovalli (Centovalli railway line) from Domodossola to Locarno (CH) to Val Vigezzo.
