Visiting the Park

Val Grande is like a small Nepal on the threshold of civilization, and it is precisely for this peculiarity that the valley became a National Park.

Since it is a wild and inaccessible area, the trails of the valley - some of which are very difficult, dangerous and not signposted yet - can be covered only with expert guides (the Park Official Guides, Mountain Guides and qualified environmental guides).

The Park advises visitors who have little experience of the Park places to start by approaching the "Sentieri Natura", i.e. the Park less difficult but equally interesting Nature Trails, offering the opportunity to carry out interesting tours of intermediate difficulty.

If you are planning to spend some days in the Park or if you are going to carry out trekking activities lasting more days, you can stay in the Park mountain huts and bivouacs or in the nearby locations.
