Process Renewal

The Val Grande National Park Authority in 2013 was awarded, by Europarc Federation, the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECSTPA), a certification that is valid for five years, subject to renewal.

The Authority, after the Forum met in plenary session and jointly with the Ossola Protected Areas Management Forum, formally launched the participated process of renewal of the Charter for the 2018 five-year period on 17 February 2017 -2022, setting the following objectives:

  • to update and update the common strategy
  • to make the actions already started in the previous Action Plan more incisive and include new ones
  • to prepare the basis for approaching the so-called Phase 2 (the certification of tourism businesses)
  • to widen, where possible, synergies with and between operators, both those that are already part of the ECSTPA Forum, and with new subjects.

It was a process that focused on three strategic issues related to sustainable accessibility, quality and youth offer and work, as well as greater rationalization and effectiveness of the planned actions.

Following the final Forum, held in Vogogna at Palazzo Pretorio on 5 December 2017, the local renewal process of the ECSTPA of the Val Grande National Park officially ended.
