To reach the area you could use the A8 motorway from Milan and A26 from Genoa and Turin to Gravellona Toce.
Ordinary roads:
To reach the Park you could take the Ossola freeway from Gravellona Toce al Sempione (following it you could admire the mountains that close the Val Grande: significant is the imposing and inaccessible chain of the Corni di Nibbio) and the freeway n. 34 from Cannobio. Several other roads, sometimes also unpaved, then lead to the starting points for excursion itineraries in the Val Grande or in the neighbouring areas.
State railways from Milan or Turin and from Novara or Briga (CH) up to the railway stations of Verbania Pallanza or Domodossola. Centovalli railway station from Domodossola to Locarno (CH) through Val Vigezzo.
