Caprezzo
Among art, tradition and nature
Cavrèsc", as it is still called by its inhabitants, is a pretty village lying on the side of the valley, along one of the access roads to the Park. Today Caprezzo is reached by a carriage road, while at the beginning of the 1900s, it was only reached on foot. Actually, it was already beginning to be visited as a summer resort, so much that a few years before, in 1897, on the "Guide of Pallanza", it was said, as it concerns Caprezzo: «Here is a truly salubrious and delightful walk, full of varied picturesque spots, and also (despite the mule track), not so hard to be carried out».
